Protein in a diet

From a young age, we are used to hearing that we need to eat a lot of protein to grow muscle. That we need them so that our body can function normally and we can grow and develop. And yet, are we really sure we know what the purpose of protein is, how much we should consume, where we find it, and what is its purpose in exercise?

Protein

Protein is molecules made up of several particles called amino acids. In addition to water, it is the main building blocks of tissues and organs in our body and takes care of the functioning of the organism. When proteins are ingested, they are then broken down into several amino acids.

Amino acids are divided into essential, or those that our body urgently needs and non-essential, which are not very necessary but the body welcomes with open arms. Unfortunately, our body cannot produce amino acids, so we must add them with a varied diet.

Is it important to eat protein, even if I’m not an athlete?

Of course, protein is not just for athletes and for muscle growth. As already mentioned, it is primarily one of the main building blocks of our body and we must all consume it in sufficient quantities. 59g of protein a day for men and 47g of protein a day for women. The number is not accurate for everyone because we are different individuals. The minimum daily intake is 0.8 g of protein per kilogram of body weight. Also, the required intake decreases with age, about 1g for every 10 years after the age of 50. Pregnant women from 4 months of age and children need a higher protein intake.

Why is protein good for me?

Protein significantly affects our well-being, as it affects the immune system, bones, enzymes, hormones.
It is great for all athletes and people with high energy needs. Also for recreational athletes, hikers, fitness enthusiasts … also benefits patients, children, pregnant women and people who do not eat a sufficiently varied diet.

Where do I find protein?

Most protein is found in meat (especially horse, beef, poultry), fish, eggs, hard cheeses, milk, yoghurt… Even if you do not eat animal products, you will find a lot of protein in legumes (peas, beans, lentils,) potatoes, rice, fruit and nuts. However, if you want to ensure a meal without eating meat and have no idea how you can use the following combinations:

  • Corn, peas and beans
  • Lentils and bread
  • Corn and peas

What can I change if I don’t get enough protein?

Nothing easier! Hemp bio proteins will be the right choice for you. Even if you are a vegetarian or vegan. They contain hemp protein, which is considered one of the better sources of protein, and added vitamin E, which is considered a strong oxidant, iron, which contributes to less fatigue and exhaustion, and phosphorus and magnesium, which act to release energy during metabolism.

Hemp protein is easier to digest than others and therefore allow even greater yields. They have a mild nutty taste and contain a high value of dietary fibre and are a source of important minerals. Hemp bio protein is easy to use, as it is enough to mix 2 tablespoons once a day in our favourite beverage and consume. Hemp Bio protein is user-friendly, as it costs only € 12.49 or € 0.82 per day and is enough for 14-day use.

WHY CHOOSE PLANT PROTEIN?

  • Doesn’t cause inflammation
  • No animal lives taken
  • Don’t make you bloated
  • Hormone-free
  • Don’t cause allergies

Animal protein

  • Harder to digest
  • Know to cause inflammation in the body
  • Take animal lives
  • Cause bloating in many individuals
  • Contain animal hormones
  • Cause allergies

Protein and sports

The most well-known use of protein, of course, is the addition of protein in sports. And there is nowhere better to get information than to ask a sports coach. Ana Meke is a personal trainer with an international NCSF license who has been coaching for more than 7 years. Today we are going to talk about protein in sports nutrition.

1. Hi, Ana! Can you introduce yourself to us for a start? Who are you, what do you do, what are your hobbies…

First of all, I would like to thank you for the invitation to the interview. I am a personal trainer who has been doing fitness for 15 years. I am interested in everything related to the human body, from exercise to eating. I perceive the body as something fascinating because with careful handling and listening we can move it in any direction we want. I argue that every human being is an individual being and must discover for himself what suits him and his body.

In my free time, I do fitness, I like to go to the mountains, where I enjoy long and photogenic views. I am a foodie and I love preparing healthy meals.

2. You mentioned that you are involved in coaching. Why do you think adding protein to your diet is so important?

It seems to me that you have covered the really key things earlier in the article, but I would very much like to point out one important thing that we often overlook. There are a lot of products on the shelves that have the inscription that they contain a very high protein content, but when we look at the back, we soon find that the composition of the product is even worse than the one that may not contain as much protein. Therefore, one must be very careful and read the ingredients. Protein also needs to be added because usually, not all the food we eat contains enough of it. It is especially important for athletes because muscle needs protein to maintain and grow. Otherwise, in my opinion, there is far too much emphasis on the fact that they are only for athletes because protein is essential for everyone.

3. You probably know our Hemp Bio Protein. Why do you suggest using them? Have you tried them before and maybe noticed any difference between Hemp Bio Protein and other protein on the market?

I have tried quite a few different types of protein and I have noticed that I have problems with bloating after many, which I did not notice when using Hemp Bio Protein. I like that it is made from only one ingredient and also contains vitamin E, phosphorus and magnesium. It is of course suitable for anyone who has a vegetarian or vegan diet. And even if we are not vegetarians ourselves, we can enjoy it. I have it precisely because it is not of animal origin and does not make me bloated. I have to point out, though, that they’re really very user-friendly, as they don’t really cost much.

4. Can you give us any advice on how to eat more varied and rich in protein foods?

I really recommend everyone to read the information on the products carefully, because then you’ll know what the product really contains. It is also very important to be aware of protein, to try to consume enough protein with a varied diet in the original plan. It is very important to exercise daily, get enough sleep, minimize the number of stressful situations.

Thank you Ana for your time and advice. We want you to continue to be so well aware of a healthy lifestyle.

If you want to give your body only the best nutrients that are varied and rich in protein, then Hemp Bio Proteins is the right choice!
